Today we want to show you an amazing thing...a huge fixed gear mural in Salavat, Bashkortostan, and here you have the story behind this mural as Dmitri explains...:
My name is Dmitri Aske aka Sicksystems and I'm an artist from Moscow,
Russia. Recently I've done new huge mural in Salavat, Bashkortostan and I
would like to share it with you. It is dedicated to cycling.
9 days. 9 storied-building, extremely rough surface. The cyclist
symbolizes human abilities. Since the bicycle is a mechanical vehicle,
people riding a bike move forward using their own energy. This work
wants to remind the viewers that in the modern world people way too
often rely on new technologies forgetting about their own abilities and
powers and underestimating them. I made this work without using a
projector, though initially I'd thought that it would be much more
difficult than it turned out to be in the end.

Here we have the photos...enjoy it!
