Today we want to talk about one important thing for cyclist... the smartwatch.
We have been more than one month testing the
Amazfit Pace, a low cost smartwatch created by Huami and Xiaomi to compete with the best smartwatches in the market... the result is amazing!
Amazfit Pace smartwatch
First of all, we have to talk about the smartwatch. The
Amazfit Pace is a watch with GPS-enabled. Running smartwatch with 5 days of battery life, in our case we have tested it getting more than 3 days running or cycling at least one time for 1-2 hours.

Run phone-free with onboard music storage (about 2 gb of music), while tracking key metrics like pace, cadence, distance, time, heart rate and more. You can choose from activity and sport modes for: Outdoor/Indoor Run, Trail Run, Walk, Outdoor/Indoor Bike, Elliptical, and more. The developers are working in more sports mode, that's great because the support the devoloping of new features in updates.
You can follow their running training plans for beginners, 5K, 10K, and marathon runners, important, this trainning plans include cycling and swimming trainnings, that's great to get a complete trainning plan.

You can customize your watch face by uploading personal photos, and receive all your calls, texts, emails, and app notifications via the always-on display. The bad news are that, for now, you can't open the app in the screen of your smartwatch, you can only see the notifications. In my case it's enough.
All data generated when cycling or running is synced and available in the Strava app. It's basic to install Strava app in your iPhone or Android mobile, when you finish the activity you only need to sync your
Amazfit Pace with your Strava via Amazfit app, it's really easy.
In the last update, the Amazfit developers have an app with info about your steps and sleeping time, similar than Mi Band.

The ceramic bezel is durable and resistant to scratching. You don't need an screen protector, in my case I use to bit the watch with walls, etc.. In more than 1 month the screen is exactly as I received, perfect! The always-on display is easily readable even under bright sunlight. Pace is IP67 certified, which means its resistant to dust, rain, splashing, and accidental submersion.
Pace allows you to listen to music wherever you go. With Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity, Pace can be paired with wireless headphones or speakers. Run phone-free or blast your favorite hits, without using up your phone data.
The Pace watch interface and companion apps are available for iOS and Android.

Veredict
- PROS:
- Really easy to use
- Confortable, the band is really comfortable and easy to fit when you need the heart rate running or cycling
- Big screen and easy to use at night
- Low energy consumption
- GPS enabled, you don't need your phone! Go out and run or ride!
- Really nice design rounded
- Developers team, every month you get a new update with improves that work, no only bugs solve.
- Price, price, price... 159,99$!!!! (30% OFF HERE) Compared with others is really really cheap and high quality product, all users are happy!
- Highly recommended for runners, riders, trail riders, trail runners, indoor...
- CONS:
- You can't (for now) open your apps in the smartwatchs: emails, whatsapp, etc... but you see the notification and his content.
- Maybe more battery time...??? I used a Mi Band 2, with more than 15 days duration, that's great, but maybe in the future it could be improved by Huami designers.
