RAD RACE is a bunch of friends and bike enthusiasts who came together in 2013 to organize wild bike races all over Europe and to create their own cycling apparel. These guys are truly living their dream and started their own cycling brand, putting all their hearts, time and energy into that thing. Their races are exciting and adrenalin-filled events with loud music, fun people and breathtaking competitions. They unite all the different bike crews, scenes and people for one event - all with a professional DIY and punkrock attitude.

128 Fixed Gear riders on a Kart track fighting in a KO System who is going to be the Last Man Standing/ Last Woman Standing.

From the qualifying until the half finals there are eight riders in each group but only four riders can make it into the next round. Every lap the last man/woman is going to be kicked out of the race. In the finals the race continues until there is only one left:

Rad Race Gymsac review

This Rad Race Gymsac is made in fabric, easy to carry on, and perfect to carry basic things as your helmet, jacket...if you don't need a big bag you can use it, and after use you can fold and stow in a pocket, very functional.

Another important point about this bag, it's ethically produced and chlorine free...great for a better world, this guys of Rad Race are great!

WHO CAN TAKE PART:
FIXED BIKES ONLY ! No brakes allowed !
Only 112 starting spots for men. 16 starting spots for female racers. So there will be a split male- and -female ranking!

RACE FORMAT:
Elimination race on the BerlinKart track, which we convert specifically for this race.
- 4 laps per race.
- 8 riders per race, the slowest athlete is taken out of the race after each round, the first 4 make it to the next round.
- Mode from knockout round with 14 races and a total of 112 riders.
- 56 riders make it to the next round plus the 8 fastest losers
The first 64 make it into the next round
- And then 64 riders in the Knockout system with 8 races
- The Final: 8 rounds with 8 riders. The slowest athlete is taken out of the race after each round. Until only one Last Man is Standing.

A new bike series is coming to Germany: The RAD RACE!

It seems there will be an awesome new bike series out of Germany that will bring some great new racing events out to you.

The "mission statement“ of the RAD RACE crew on their Facebook.com/radrace page says: 

'It all started in our heads a few months ago... We are some friends from Münster, Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin and Hamburg, Germany and are starting NOW. We wanna STOP RIDING LAME BIKE EVENTS. We wanna have amazing bike races all over Europe. Starting in Germany 2014. Crazy, fast, radical. RAD RACES. Rad Race

There is no further news out so far but it seems these guys want to bring events like the Red Hook Crit or other shorter formats onto german streets.

They proved in the Running scene that they can start some pretty amazing stuff. One of the founders of RAD RACE, Ingo Engelhardt, is also the founder of the biggest obstacle race in the world. The Fisherman’s Friend StrongmanRun (www.strongmanrun.com), maybe you have heard of it. Until the end of 2013 RAD RACE wants to spread the word and wants to build up the website and fan base.
