Lamri Adjis (’84) is a young filmmaker, a part-time barista and more important: one of the organizers of Rotje Rond. Rotje Rond organizes races and other bike events in and around Rotterdam. He is a passionate fixed gear rider who’s addicted to the world of the fixed-gear cycling. A fixed-gear bicycle (or fixed-wheel bicycle, commonly known as a fixie) is a bicycle that has a drive-train with no freewheel mechanism. More recently the 'fixie' has become a popular alternative among mainly urban cyclists, and is thereby also called ‘the hipster bike’. This short video provides a short introduction in this fixed-gear cycling world, and gives an honest portrait about this passionate rider.
