A Day In the Life of Tim Friday [Full Movie]

All Tim Friday wants to do is party with hot girls who ride fixies. Unfortunately, his fun is inhibited along the way as he traverses through a series of unfortunate events. A Day In The Life of Tim Friday is a rare real-life snapshot of Atlanta’s Afro-punk subculture, a film about searching for a small piece of happiness in a big city.

I BIKE. Court métrage

Via some key cycling personalities, this short movie develops ideas surrounding the fixed gear scene and biking community of Montreal. The viewer is introduced to various characters from the Montreal fixed gear communities including shop owners, musicians, restaurant owners, corporate commuters, politicians, messengers and more. The personality and passion of each character is developed through interviews with supporting imagery. Each character is chosen to represent a different story and viewpoint regarding the quickly growing fixed gear culture of Montreal with the main objective of challenging the viewer’s perceptions surrounding cycling. The viewer creates conclusions and question their understanding of urban biking as an efficient means of municipal transportation and art.

Artist Statement :
"When I started Creating what can be Called Video Projection, my product was very much focused in the video in the bike. Now i am trying to introduce about a lifestyle of fixed gear rider in kuala lumpur by using bicycle fixed gear as a subject to project. For me, fixed gear is an ideal topic to explore, because it is very current in our society now and to say fixed gear is a urban culture on its own among the youngsters."

WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING ? via Monsterfixed

This story has thrilled us, a story of personal growth, integration, good people, ...

They are from Singapore and mainly, some of the riders are deaf which is most of them can not able to hear / talks and some of them are normal people like usual ...

They are...Monsterfixed (Mfxd)

Monsterfixed (Mfxd) is a fixed gear group based in Singapore since 2009. Their crew consists of all races, ages ranging from 16 to 26 years old and hearing-impaired and non-hearing impaired members.

Cycling gives them a sense of independence, but it may be even stronger for the deaf community. Hearing impaired cyclists must focus all of their attention when cycling because they are not able to hear sirens and traffic noises.

When cycling, they feel that their body and their bikes are as one.  They gain so much experience through riding. They are inspired by the fixed gear scenes around the world. They gain many friends through cycling and they hope to make more friends & to expose themselves more out there in the fixed gear scene.

They are the heart and the bike is the body, if their legs don’t move the bike won’t start. They have to keep on pedaling to keep it going.

And this is one of their amazing videos telling their stories...really nice!
From The Fixed Gear World, we want to congratulate this group of people, and all those groups, as Monsterfixed, helps integrate people in a positive way, helping them and learning from them personally to outdo day by day.

LET -- GO -- ON

Here we have a ...poem-video?...really nice, great inspiration for every fixed gear rider...
As they say:

We had the pleasure of working with KRNKY on a quick and dirty film shot during the last days of this summer. The temperatures were dropping to somewhere around +5C° but our masked rider soldiered on nevertheless.
Let this serve as a reminder to LET GO of the summers gone. And GO ON, ride into the new year.
We truly hope you people out there enjoy this as much as we do.
I traverse the vast expanses of where the noise stops.
Where the air is furiously calm in a whirl,
A raging sea of windows blur.
Let me disappear here, in the midst of the light,
Wrapped in the night like a cowl,
Fiery glad that the song of my heart
Takes up wings in my flight,
In the hours when the haunters howl.
When the days grow shorter, when the nights grow cold,
When we're learning to put on winter clothes,
When my freckles begin to fade, and my hands tremble,
Let me go on.

LET -- GO -- ON from Bikeminimalism. on Vimeo.

Poetry and spoken word from the hand of Samu Ainesmaa
Music by Eero Taina
Production by Brother Studios
GO OUT AND RIDE, and while you're at it, grab some swag from mighty KRNKY.

PREMIUM RUSH - New fixed gear messenger film!

Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day's work for Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the best of New York's agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie -- super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic. But a guy who's used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him.
