These guys are truly living their dream and started their own cycling brand, putting all their hearts, time and energy into that thing. Their races are exciting and adrenalin-filled events with loud music, fun people and breathtaking competitions. They unite all the different bike crews, scenes and people for one event - all with a professional DIY and punkrock attitude.

WeLoveCycling magazine prepared a short documentary feature about the world of fixed-gear enthusiasts.

About In the Fix

What is a fixed gear bicycle? And what does it mean to ride one? We Love Cycling heads to safety obsessed Berlin and then to Moscow, with it’s reputation for intensive traffic, to find out. In the second part they continue their brakeless adventure hearing what authorities and politicians have to say about the world of fixed-gear bicycle enthusiasts.

In its 5th anniversary year, the Berliner Fahrrad Schau has established itself once and for all among exhibitors and audiences as a contemporary and influential trend show for urban bicycle themes, racing, bicycle accessories and bicycle fashion, and has already set a course for the year 2015. Next, the trade fair will be part of the planned multi-day Berlin Bicycle Week.

RECAP: @RadRace Last Man Standing 22.03.2014 Berlin

As a lot of you know, past weekend (22.03.2014) was realized in Berlin (Germany) the first race by Rad Race called Last Man Standing, and here you have a recap made by us with some tweets, pics, etc published in social networks, we wish you like it!

Ucon x 8bar | The 'federleicht’ bike collaboration

Ucon and 8bar are two Berlin based brands who teamed up for this bike collaboration. They worked on this project together for the last year to make something special happen.

'Stefan' the founder of 8bar is a true bicycle enthusiast and is also competing in races for over 15 years now. Together with a collective of cycle-crazy friends, he brought his vision to life to establish a bicycle company. 8bar is never pre-made or identical, each bike is a unique, co-created between 8bar and it’s owner-to-be. 8bar captures the progressive, fun and easy-going spirit of Berlin and its collaborative energy.

Ucon established their opening collection in the early summer of 2001. Founders Jochen and Martin came with a vision to develop a lifestyle brand anchored by creativity, quality tailoring, innovative appliqués and ethical production. With a passion for the work of talented artists and the design community surrounding them, Jochen and Martin embraced collaborations to build a creative environment for the brand.

Like you will see in this clip right here Ucon and 8bar also involved two more creative heads from Berlin. One of them is 'Toons', a Berlin famous painting artists and a true fan of the whole bike culture since he was a small boy. He handpainted the frame and brought their vision of the "feathering-design" into real life. Then there is the product-designer and illustrator 'Stulle' from Matzmate who did an amazing job customizing the bike saddle, foot straps and handlebar.

ANY GIVEN WEDNESDAY 2013 - Berlin 2013

Hi riders! These days our friend Max from Standert Bicycles Berlin has sent us their video of the weekly race series celebrated in Berlin past summer 2013. Max explains us this race:

"...this summer we have been hosting a weekly mini-alleycat-series, called 'any given wednesday', where riders had to race to changing trainstations throughout the city, stamp their ticket there and come back to the store. 

Constantin Gerlach made a nice little edit from the go pro material filmed during the races..."
