8bar love to ride their bikes ourselves and go on trips that deviate somewhat from the average.

Starting in 2012 by crossing the Alps with their fixed-gear bikes, to taking a trip from Berlin to Prague without the help of a map with their Singlespeed Cyclocross bikes in 2013 and climbing the Schneekoppe, the highest peak of the Giant Mountains in Poland, in 2014 with their road bikes.

This time they decided on Africa, the Atlas Mountains in the middle of Morocco to be more precise, as their next destination. The Atlas forms a striking divided line between the relatively humid climate in the far north of Maghreb to the extremely dry Sahara.

#news | Warhawk & Thunderbird SSCX by State Bicycle - New colors and upgrades!!!

Today we have news from one of our favourite brands: State Bicycle. 

Due to the success of their Warhawk - Navy, Maroon, Gold and Thunderbird - Army / Burnt Orange. (graphics by Johnny Hsu) they're releasing 2 new color ways. In addition to the color refresh the Thunderbird now boasts a larger tire clearance in the rear as well as top-tube, seat-stay, and seat tube cable guides for the many people who convert this to a geared bike (not only for the new 

Green/Orange color way but also for any new model pink/black).

Our follower and fixed gear rider Guillem Serna has sent us a video recap about his race in Cyclocross Single Speed. Ranked 3rd in the race at Reus at the Catalonia Cyclocross Championship. Being the only rider on a Single Speed CX bike. Sure soon there will be more single speed crossriders riders!

Stefan and Max went from Berlin to Prague without a map, only with a compass and the option of checking their coordinates twice a day.
