But as far as designer Erik Nohlin’s concerned, the best thing to come out of that fair city is not Prada, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, or Kartell, it’s Ettore Sottsass, “the only real punk rocker the field of design has ever had.” Never heard of Sottsass? Prepare to take your lesson, because to get to the soul of Nohlin’s Red Hook Crit Team Allez-Allez collection, you must first meet the man who stoked that fire.

As you know if you follow up via Instagram, past weekend we were in the Red Hook Crit 3 Barcelona 2015, and was... amazing! You can see the final results in their page. Passion for fixed gear bikes was in the air, around 300 riders fighting for the best place in classifications and finals... most innovative, superlight and beautiful fixed gear bikes from riders and brands around the world. Red Bull explores origins of alleycat racing

Thanks to Adam Moffat we have received this video realized by Red Bull exploring origins of alleycat racing, an how the unsanctioned bike racing movement grew from its Toronto roots into a global phenomenon. 

The 8 minute vid explores the world and individuals behind unsanctioned bike races like the Red Hook Crit in NYC among others. Story is told by Antonio Colomobo of Cinelli, Rebecca "Lambchop" Reilly, Fenando "KID" Rivera, and Nadir Olivet of La Carerra in Toronto.
