Today we want to share to all of you a new product review, in this case about the new brand Morgaw and one of their road saddles. Maybe you say, why innovative?... In this post we explain the shock absorber system of the Morgaw saddles, and...it works!

Morgaw Forsage saddle review

Morgaw have three saddle models designed for different ride styles and bikes:

• Forsage: for road / fixed gear bicycles
• Trian: for XC and CX bicycles
• Enduro: for MTB and Fat bikes

The model we have tested is the Forsage, in white color customized with a pink kit of screws and saddle label (as you know...we love pink!)

As we said before, maybe you say: where is the innovation in this saddle?

Well, the Morgaw saddles are designed with an special shock absorber system as we explain in next:

MORGAW saddles are attached to a unified, patented & self-supported platform based on shock absorbers and interchangeable rails. Saddle platform combined with shock absorbers allows the saddle to be divided into two self-supporting entities: saddle & undercarriage. The design has opened a new structure of possibilities which allow to incorporate the key performance characteristics into saddle. A key aspect of MORGAW saddles functionality is improved comfort, personal customization, lightweight & compatibility.

The shock absorbers are designed to absorb the impact and stress created between the rider and bicycle while riding.  The intentions are not to substitute  suspension as we have tested. It's not a suspension system, it's a healthy solution to avoid problems related with impact and stress while riding.

Various densities of shock absorbers can be adapted to the weight of the rider and riding style. In our case, following the recommendations of Morgaw we have installed the Medium density in front, and Hard density in rear. As you can see in the video, the saddle moves when you ride and absorbs some of the shocks, it's the great difference with conventional saddles without this system.

The MORGAW saddle construction allows the rider to exchange or upgrade EVO oval rails for new ones. We have tested the saddle with the EVO oval rails made of carbon fiber. It gives you a superlight  and strong saddle.

About Morgaw

MORGAW started as a result of our passion for cycling and longtime experiences from a racing background. A saddle, the most intimate part of the bicycle, alpha and omega of every rider, became a synonym for the MORGAW brand. From 2009 to 2011 MORGAW specialized in the production of high-end full carbon saddles. During this period they learned about the constructions, technologies and material limits which accompanied the global saddle industry. They realized that they could improve the comfort of the saddles through active saddle platform, which could possibly substitute stiff, non-active rails built under the saddle. They fell in love with this idea.
